1:1 Educational Services

aba

Comprehensive educational and behavioral services are provided year-round through one-to-one programming. Our initial emphasis is on the assessment of a student’s academic, social, verbal behavior and other behavioral repertoires. This guides the development of our individualized programming for each child. Once programming has been established, the focus is on the acquisition, generalization and fluency skills which are needed to promote independence and community participation. Oversight and supervision of program development and on-going analysis of student data is provided by our Licensed Behavior Analysts and Certified Special Education Specialists.

These sessions are designed for parents, family members, nannies, babysitters, caretakers.  Training may also be provided to professionals who interact with children on the autism spectrum or those who have special needs, including schools, medical professionals, other educational support staff.

Challenging Behaviors

challengingMBC offers assessment and support services for individuals with challenging behaviors. Service begins with functional behavior assessment (FBA) or functional analysis (FA) of problem behaviors to determine the function of the target behavior(s). FBAs and FAs are conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Licensed Behavior Analyst in conjunction with families and educational team members. A behavior intervention plan is then designed to target more appropriate behaviors. Support and training for families, caregivers, therapists and other individuals will be on-going to ensure consistency of the behavior plan’s implementation.
